Charles, one of Deep Cove’s genuine treasures, is an internationally renowned artist who charmed us a few years ago with his sold-out performance of The Painter Mouse. It was a show featuring projected paintings and original story telling. Now he returns with new stories and will divulge yet another of his talents, that of singer. This new show of Charles’ has a folksy country feel and he is backed up by the tremendous talent of the Brandywine Boys.

Roy Forbes In Concert
Sept 9 and 10, 2011

An intimate evening with Canadian Music Legend Roy Forbes in Celebration of his 40th Anniversary in the biz!
In Jan, 1972, eighteen-year-old Roy Forbes (as “Bim”) did one of his first tours with blues legend John Lee Hooker, traveling by station-wagon, braving the snowy January BC highways, absorbing tricks of the trade that make him one of the finest live acoustic performers anywhere. Roy played at festivals, coffee houses, clubs and in concerts with a bunch of the others — learning from them as they did from the ones whose shoulders they stood on.
Today Roy Forbes is a “veteran,” part of the generation that came of age in the late sixties, early seventies that just happened to refashion popular music. Like those other “legends,” Roy today is at the top of his game and able to hold a crowd spell bound, whether a few hundred at a workshop or ten thousand in front of a festival main stage.
